With that said, we are making some progress! My in-laws were here for hours on both Saturday and Sunday helping us out which was GREAT! And my parents were here last weekend so we have definitely had some assistance. Seriously, I don't know what we would do without dads. J and I are both so lucky to have dads that seem to know the answers to everything. It amazes me, they can fix/hang/replace anything!!
So we did we accomplish?
- We got all the painting done on the first floor, minus a few touch-ups in the guest room. The trim & walls are done!
- Painted our bedroom...with the exception of touching up the ceiling in the places that the frog tape pulled the paint off! ugh...and the hall upstairs
- Hung our chandelier {which I am semi obsessed with!} and mirror in the dining room
- Hung the TV on the wall in the basement...so we finally have a place to sit and relax while the upstairs is being done. I never thought I would appreciate a finished basement so much!
I have been on the hunt for some moving announcements to update all of our family and friends on our change of address. Theses are my top picks:
Do you have a favorite? I love the anchor, from minted, and the others are from tiny prints.
Enough about the house stuff! I wanted to thank my friend {av} from {longdistanceloving} for this stylish blogger award! If you haven't visited her blog, you should! She is a fellow Rhode Islander who I hope to meet up with some day!
As part of this award, I'm supposed to share 7 facts about myself. So you get another list :)
- I grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania, home of the original Hershey's chocolate factory...and yes it did in fact smell like chocolate.
- When I applied to college, I wanted to be a teacher. I switched into nursing during my freshman orientation and I'm so glad I did!
- I am one of four kiddos, and I'm the oldest. I have twin sisters and a little brother.
- I love to travel but don't get to nearly enough. At the top of my list of places to go? Italy.
- I did not meet my husband in the hospital. We met through my old college roommate. Someday I'll share the whole story :)
- I'm looking forward to becoming a mom someday.
- I don't think I can go a day without a piece of chocolate! Darn sweet tooth!

I just happened upon your blog, and I share a Hershey connection with you! I grew up in Pittsburgh, but moved to Hershey when I got a teaching job at Hershey Middle School. I taught PE and Health there (with Mr. Holwig, Mrs. Shay, and Mrs. Ocker, who you might have had) for 6.5 years, until I met and married my Marine husband, also a Hershey native. Now "home" is wherever the USMC sends us. But NO place in the world compares to Chocolate Town, USA!
Anyway, I'm your newest follower! :)
I know this post is a few days old but I lovvvvvve the anchor announcement! I may have to order some of those since I just moved, too! :)
