This week has been pretty amazing
full of family, friends, surprises, & love.
Tuesday we had our second ultrasound.
The "gummi bear" is looking more and more like a real baby
And my belly is growing by the day to prove it.
We decided to find out the sex of the babe,
but instead of having the ultrasound tech tell us right away,
we had her write the baby's sex on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope.
We took the sealed envelope to a local bakery
and had them make cupcakes filled with either pink or blue frosting,
depending on what the paper revealed.
Then, we planned a little gender reveal party for our family
and waited until Wednesday at 7pm to find out what the baby will be
surrounded by those closest to us!
Talk about self control.
I had that envelope in my possession
for approximately seven hours total before the party
and it was really hard,
but I'm so glad we waited to find out.
The suspense, the party, and the surprise were worth it!
More to come on the gender reveal party,
but for now, a couple photos.
All of the guests wore pink or blue,
depending on whether they thought the babe was a girl or boy.
I wore pink, because I had a feeling from very early on.
The husband wore pink and blue...he had no idea!
Turns out I was wearing the right color,
and my feeling was indeed correct!
We are over the moon excited for our baby girl!
