weekend love.

There are a lot of perks to living on 2+ acres of land. The pups have the run of the mill and have a blast, it's private, and it's really serene. I love it! One of the draw backs of our yard? The countless oak trees and the messes they make! Those trees are a blessing and a curse all at once. Leaves, sticks, acorns. All that mess=lots of yard work for us.

Luckily it finally feels like spring in Little Rhody so we took advantage of the 60 degree temps and sunshine this weekend and put a {pretty big!} dent in the mess. Since we moved into the house in December, we didn't really know what the property would look like green. It's so fun seeing things bloom and pop up out of the ground!
I've always wanted a pink tree...well, we have one!
Another reason I can't totally hate on the oak trees? They are perfect for things like hammocks & tire swings. This is the newest addition to our yard...thank you hubs. I fell asleep out there for a bit yesterday afternoon...it.was.heaven! And the logs on the ground with the rope around them? A make shift table...perfect spot for an ice cold beverage :)

I mentioned the pups have a blast...and you know I can't leave them out. Case in point.
Don't they look so happy!?
puppy love.
Wheelbarrow rides!

Last evening after working hard in the yard all day, we rewarded ourselves with lobster on the grill. Delicious! I'm so looking forward to enjoying the rest of spring and summer in the yard and soaking up all this little house has to offer! So far, I'm loving it.

Did you get outside and enjoy the weekend?
