Tail Wagging Tuesday

It's been awhile, so I'm excited for another tail waggin' Tuesday!

With all the baby talk around here,
these two girls have been feeling a little neglected on the blog.
And you know I'm always happy to share some photos.
Here are some favorites from the puppy days and beyond.
Lilly, being the first pup and being older, has a lot more photos!
She is and always has been the snuggliest little bug I've ever known.
She is so sweet.

Mocha has been the perfect addition to our family.
She makes us laugh with her puppy antics
and even though she is still getting bigger every day,
you can't help but love her cute little face.

Love these two.
I think they will be great big sisters.

summer weekend love.

This past weekend was pretty much perfection.
The weather, the company, everything.

Friday we went to the grand opening of Pinkberry.
It's about time Rhode Island jumped on the froyo train!
We waited in line for about an hour some free stuff.
Totally worth it. I can't wait to go back.
Then we shopped.
I bought my first maternity shirt, for fall, on clearance...eeep!

Saturday AM we headed to the farmer's market
on the east side of Providence
Scooped up some fresh veggies, eggs, and homemade dill pickles.
A pregnant woman's dream come true.
They were gone in the same day :)

Someone should really buy me a nice camera bag so I can tote my cannon around
and photograph all the goodness that was had.
*Hint, hint*

Anyway, Saturday afternoon we had a family BBQ.
And then decided to take the pups to the beach.
Did I mention Mocha is part lab/part fish?
We bought her a kiddie pool last week...it's her new favorite thing.
The pool and ice cubes.
It was pretty much the cutest thing ever,
watching her try to swim in the two feet of water, splashing & playing.

Lilly, aka Miss Priss, would rather lounge on the chair {not the grass}
She is not interested in the pool whatsoever.

We knew we had to take them to the beach
and give Miss Mocha a taste of some real swimming.
She loved it, of course.

Sunday the hubs and I had a beach day.
Bright sun and an ocean breeze=a good tan :)
We ended the weekend grilling with my in laws & ice cream.
Perfect I tell ya.

weekend love.

There are a lot of perks to living on 2+ acres of land. The pups have the run of the mill and have a blast, it's private, and it's really serene. I love it! One of the draw backs of our yard? The countless oak trees and the messes they make! Those trees are a blessing and a curse all at once. Leaves, sticks, acorns. All that mess=lots of yard work for us.

Luckily it finally feels like spring in Little Rhody so we took advantage of the 60 degree temps and sunshine this weekend and put a {pretty big!} dent in the mess. Since we moved into the house in December, we didn't really know what the property would look like green. It's so fun seeing things bloom and pop up out of the ground!
I've always wanted a pink tree...well, we have one!
Another reason I can't totally hate on the oak trees? They are perfect for things like hammocks & tire swings. This is the newest addition to our yard...thank you hubs. I fell asleep out there for a bit yesterday afternoon...it.was.heaven! And the logs on the ground with the rope around them? A make shift table...perfect spot for an ice cold beverage :)

I mentioned the pups have a blast...and you know I can't leave them out. Case in point.
Don't they look so happy!?
puppy love.
Wheelbarrow rides!

Last evening after working hard in the yard all day, we rewarded ourselves with lobster on the grill. Delicious! I'm so looking forward to enjoying the rest of spring and summer in the yard and soaking up all this little house has to offer! So far, I'm loving it.

Did you get outside and enjoy the weekend?

Tail Wagging Tuesday

With this post, I truly feel like a crazed dog lady.
I think my fur babes have made appearances
in every blog post I've done for the last month.
Ha.
It is true, I am...
A crazy dog lady.

So here they are.
In their favorite spots to sleep.

Lilly likes to snuggle.
She used to be allowed on our bed.
And would sleep at my feet, under the covers.
I've never known a pup more cuddly than her.

Since we moved into the house,
we put an end to her sleeping on our bed.
And she has her own bed, right next to ours.

Mocha will pass out anywhere.
She plays hard, and naps hard {thanks goodness!}

We keep her in a crate when we leave the house, and at night.
Both pups love their crates...they don't need any coercing to get in there.
And they have a bed in just about every room that we hang out in.

At the end of the day, they always end up curled up together, somewhere.
They are buddies. I love it.

sorry for the low quality cell phone pics!

Thursday's Random Thoughts

  • My little sister is coming up for the weekend. She hasn't seen our house yet, or met the new pup, so I'm really excited. On the agenda: manis/pedis, shopping, and going to see Water for Elephants.
  • Speaking of pup, I can't believe how BIG she is getting. How did she go from a little ball of fluff, not able to climb the stairs...to this big baby who is into everything?...in less than a month! They grow up too fast!
no, she's not supposed to be on the couch. but she looked so cute.
  • We are having Easter dinner at my in-laws. I'm thinking of bring these and these. And possibly these.
{via}
  • I cannot believe it is almost May. My birthday is three weeks from today. For anyone who's reading  and curious (husband, parents) ...I'll have a wish list next week :)
  • After tonight, I'm off work for six glorious days. It's been a long and busy couple weeks so I'm ready for a little break.
 Happy almost Friday!

Fur Babes II

I'm linking up with Miss CMae again for week II of tail waggin' Tuesday!

This week is your pet's favorite toy.
I'm not sure either Lil or Mocha have one favorite.
But they both love their bones!

And lately, I really think they prefer each other over any of their toys!

Fur Babes

I'm excited to link up with Miss C.Mae for the first addition of tail-wagging Tuesday :)

Any excuse to show off my fur babes is a go in my book.

My favorite photos.
I believe I've already shared this one, but I'm doing it again.
Mocha
Love her fluffy puppy fur, and how her little paw is curled under. She does that a lot.

Lilly
What is not to love about that wrinkled little face? She was SO tiny!

And a recent one. They are pretty cute together if you ask me.
Buddies.
Mocha knows how to sit. She was showing off.
